Road condition
Although the 13-kilometre Gerlitzen Alpenstraße offers a wonderful view over Carinthia, it can also have its pitfalls in winter. Should there be any major or minor challenges - such as compulsory chains - we will inform you here about the current road conditions.
Please be aware that the Gerlitzen Alpenstraße is a mountain road with 14 hairpin bends. From Bodensdorf on the northern shore of Lake Ossiach to the Mountain Resort Feuerberg, it is almost 1,300 meters in altitude.
Take a ticket at the toll station. Hotel guests receive a free exit ticket at reception.
